There is no exact definition on what being educated means because people have different views on the matter. Some believe it has to do with knowing a lot of facts and ideas while others suggest it means knowing how to succeed in life with street smarts. In my opinion being educated involves both of these, street smarts and knowing facts and ideas. Howard Gardner created the multiple intelligences. This idea of multiple intelligences shows that there are multiple approaches to learning a topic. Someone may lack knowledge in one level but be extremely talented in another. People may be more skilled in activities outside of school rather than learning topics in school but they still are considered intelligent.
